My dad was there for graduation and to teach me how to ride a bike. But my mom was the one who taught me how to be a man.
Growing up, the NFL was a key part of my life. Now I can’t even bring myself to watch on opening week.

Over the course of 14 months, Dr. Monique Morris took a close look at the educational experiences of confined black girls in the California Bay Area juvenile system. Youth Radio’s Darelle Brown interviewed Dr. Morris about her findings.
I was what you would consider a bully. I bullied kids because I was always the big one, the tallest in class and the thickest, too. I had an advantage since all the kids my age were usually smaller and more delicate.
Song-writing makes me appreciate living, because it reminds me that I’m not alone.
With kids’ online and offline lives becoming one, it appears that harassment could happen every day, and all day. There is no logging off.
