It’s frustrating that people are still using “gay” or “lesbian” to insult or describe clothing. Like…how can you dress like a sexuality?
Coming out required me to first love myself, and then to believe that someone out there and would love me back.
“How do you know you’re gay?” I get this all the time. So far, the only answer I have is: “You just know.”
Every year we visit my father’s side of the family, and I have not come out to any of them. Although I’ve come out to my parents and sisters, I don’t usually discuss my sexuality, as it makes my homophobic parents extremely uncomfortable.
