Each 1st Friday moving forward, Remix Your Life will be presenting a series of events in the YR Arts Venue, featuring a wide variety of the Bay Area’s most brilliant young artists, entrepreneurs, and activists, who will present, perform, and discuss their music, art, products, and issues with Youth Radio students, Staff, Alumni, and the general public.
Our kickoff event, which took place October 7th, was a standing room only “Producer Showcase” which featured 4 well known artists from the Bay Area, 2 of which are Youth Radio Alumni. Jay Ant, Kuya Beats,Trackademicks, and Max Kane all shared their individual creative / technical approaches to making music, and took questions from the crowd. It was a great night for the producer geeks in the crowd as well as for the casual drop-ins who were quick to turn up whenever they heard a beat they liked. It was lit!
