ound the globe, woman fight eagerly in order to gain equal rights. According to makers.com, today, woman working full time only earn about 77% compared to their male coworkers. According to Feminista.com, out of the people in national minimum wage jobs, 70% of those are woman. Along with that,it has been shown that 54% of part time working woman are employed below their potential. Furthermore, all over the world, 62 million young girls are denied the chance to attend school and get an education.
I believe that gender equality is an extremely important issue that needs more attention than it’s getting. Gender equality is important to me because as a woman, I want to be able to live out my full potential. I want my ideas and opinions to be just as valid as any man’s ideas or opinions. When I get a job, I don’t want to constantly worry about whether or not I’m being taken seriously just because I’m a woman.
