Summer School: Can Credit Recovery Also Be Real Learning?
On a summer day in San Francisco, Calif., around 35 students find themselves in a crowded Balboa High School classroom. The summer school program is five weeks long, and each class is two and a half hours. The goal is to make up a year’s worth of math or English.
