There’s so much pressure in high school to please boys.
Some can be very bad. At that time I felt sympathy, and fear. That is when I realized that there are two sides to a person.
Abusive relationships can take several forms, but many youths obliviously enter abusive relationships and once they enter, its hard to leave them.
Since we were young, my parents have taught my brother and I the same values they learned growing up like working hard and honesty. But the one I appreciated the most was the importance of family.
Being the only single person in my group of friends is starting to be awkward. Everyone is so involved in their relationship that sometimes they forget their priorities. Sometimes I’ve seen many of my friends fight with their partners because of two specific problems, communication and trust.
I hope that families struggling financially will find it easier to support their children and talk frankly about what is happening.
You only have the family you are given, don’t forget that.
I understood why they didn’t want me talking to him. It was partly to protect me, so I wouldn’t have to have those unpleasant conversations; but mostly it was for him, to give him a reason to get clean.
