The Amazon Prime Day 2018 deals students shouldn’t miss

It’s the day many have been waiting for. The day that feels like Cyber Monday in July: Amazon Prime Day.

The 36 hours of online Amazon sales will begin at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, July 16, and students all over the world have their laptops open just waiting to click buy.

Amazon Prime Day was created in 2015 for Amazon Prime members to get even more than they bargained for with their Prime membership. The day stands out among its counterparts, Cyber Monday and Black Friday, because all the deals are in one place, are for products from multiple categories, and are staggered throughout the day with new savings popping up frequently.

Amazon Prime Student members get 50% off of the regular Prime cost of $120 per year, as well as free two-day shipping.

And Amazon’s back-to-school push has led other retailers to start their back-to-school deals as well, according to MarketWatch. Walmart and J.C. Penney were among the retailers who started their back-to-school initiatives in June or July.

It’s never too early for back-to-school shopping and if you’re a student looking to save on back to school, these are the deals you can’t miss.
