Snap Inc., the parent company of the popular social media app Snapchat had the splashiest debut for a tech company on Wall Street in ages yesterday. Shares in the company were up 44% by the end of the first day of trading, and there’s buzz galore about the app that young people seem to love.

But can a tech company make it big when there’s a big generation gap?
