Donor Acceptance Policy

In the interest of editorial and creative independence, Youth Radio makes public any donor who contributes $1000 or more per fiscal year.

YR accepts gifts and grants to support our general operations, coverage of specific topics determined by our editorial staff and special projects. All editorial and creative decisions are made independently; donors receive no preferential coverage and do not influence the direction or findings of our reporting. Youth Radio may consider donations to support the coverage of particular topics, but our organization maintains editorial and creative control of the coverage and arts content. We do not cede right of review or influence of editorial content, nor of unauthorized distribution of editorial or artistic content.

We do not accept donations from political parties, elected officials or candidates actively seeking public office, nor do we accept donations from sources who our board of directors deem could present a conflict of interest with our work or compromise our independence.
